RE: Savage XL 5.9 [Help]
this is my experience..
the k5.9 is some what easy to tune just make sure you seal off the back plate and carb with high temp silicone sealent and use some high temp tread lock on the middle speed needle so it stays flushed and doesn't move due to vibrations. then tuning shouldn't be that hard and should stay pretty consistent... expect when fuel reaches half tank thats when the lean out happens.. if you're using the stock savage tank
for the break in its just like every other engine... but the roto start might lock a few times when you first try to turn it over... it happened to me[&o] but i just put a light drop of after run oil to helps reduce friction between piston and sleeve.. and loosen glow plug 1/2 a turn
for the roto start i can't really answer its basically a personal choice... i didn't like it cuz i have to lug it every where i go and its heavy and 1 more battery to charge[:@]
so i sold it for 50 bucks and got a axial pull start for 15 dollars.. so if my math is correct i got 35 dollars back which i spend on fuel
roto start is bad only if your not good at priming and flood ur engine cuz the roto start will just keep on cranking and kill ur one way bearing.

to help prevent it locking up on initial starting loosen the plug 1/4 turn until its hot and just be really carefull not to lean it out to much otherwise you will just cook the engine
