Default NEAD April Battle

For 8 guys and one member of A.C.E. not a bad tank park, also consider that most of us didn't even bring all our tanks. It was a really great day and we had some fierce battles. Good job guys.

Looks like you guys had yourself quite the festival there. Only thing missing was,..........well, me! Dang East coast boys. One of these days I'm going to strike it big time and snag some interest in my town. Tired of looking like a big doofus as a lonesome tanker in the town park. Equally tired of people stopping me to ask questions while my battery is drainingjust to have no bites. Press on if you ain't interested in getting one!

Guys,I arrived at Westvale park at 9:20 AM but all I saw were a bunch of guys getting ready to play softball at the west end of the park. After driving up and down Harrington ave looking for signs of you fellas,I drove down to the recycling center located on the HarringtonAve. side of the park, where behind the
Maintenance building there were ten or so cars parked in a row,one of them was a black minicooper. They may have belonged to the ballplayers,or maybe
they were your cars,I had no way of knowing.I got out of my car and walked around looking for you, but to no avail.I had my cell phone, but without anyone`s number,I couldn`t call.I have never met anyone of you,so visual contact was out.Without a clue where you might be,after the best part of an hour
I packed it in and left for Paramus where I live.Would anyone of you tell me where you went to do the tank battle,if it was or was not the Westvale park?
Then maybe i`ll decide if it was worth the frustration and Agita.

Joe, you mean you were in the park? The GPS can`t find the address 235 Harrington as the numbers only display 199 Harringtonas the highest street address, Where in the park were you guys?Behind the maintenance building?I wanted to meet the guys I talk with on RC universe.

Seems we were at the old shooting range behind the recycling center. I passed that place about 50 times before Bob called me and led me there.

Yes gps goes to 199 it was right after the baseball field it was a white building set back with the enterance roads going down a small hill you fallow the dirt road to the back and it's right there.. Bob said he had a sighn out front but no one seen it? Maybe next time he should put a orange flag stuck in the ground like 4 foot tall that way you would know right away when you see it.

I would guess it was an old range by the number of pistol casings in the shot of the Semi and Jagdpather hulk. I was wondering just what kind of IR you guys were using LOL.

I tell you what, I got some good experience from you guys that day...I can't wait for the next one...hopefully I'll have the Tiger working correctly by then. Need some Tamiya electroincs for him and the Sherman.

Thats definately the way to go Joe, and I think I got some pics of your tiger for you. Man you do one hell of a job on the detailing part. Mine i just try to do the best I can, it's more important for me that they run good. I think Wayne had a good time driving my Tiger around. I was glad I brought it. It really worked much better than I thought it would. I know i'm gonna take some heat here but with terrain like we have I dont think stock HL's would hold up well very long. Wayne picked up a entire 12 gauge shell case in my Panther's track and it just rolled it right out. I was like Holly Crap, how'ed you get that there. LOL

Yea, your tank runs great! I was expecting more from miy Tiger 1 but I had issues with the radio all day...I gave up on that one for the day. The PzIII actually ran very well...I should have had the battle system in that tank lol. I will be coming out hard and heavy once I start getting good electroincs in these things!

Yea it was fun now that i got both my tamiyas barrels to actually go lower than level it should help me on the battle grounds for next time.
Yellowshaker your tanks did look great!!
Now that you actually used them on the battle ground now you can fine tune them for next time around.

The tank I think would have done the best for me was the Pershing, but I plan to have a battle system in him soon. I am goingt o revamp the Tiger electrics and the Sherman will be a long term deal. I do hope to have an American fighter next time out though.
