alu shock help!

alu shock help!
Hi guys got some alu threaded shocks (unknown brand) off ebay second hand seem in good nick and have stripped a couple and clean up well but I have two problems.
1) Some of the shock caps are impossible to unscrew I just cant get a firm enough grip and I am worried about damage to the threads.
And
2) There is a very small hole at the top of each cap which when compressing the shocks spits out oil! is this normal?
I hope someone can help as Really frustrated as I have already spent £30 shipping RCRaven dual rate shocks to uk and cant fit them all and my truck bounces like zebbedy from magic round about!
