That all depends on your budget. That looks like a nasty smash, however not irrepairable. Need to sink in some new stringers for a start. The nose can be reshaped with fibreglass and resin. Would have to have a complete makeover... Good luck

If a member of the JRCBD site ... " The Dock", a member just retrieved a KOS from the bottom of pond when diving for his sunken boat. Looked like new boat minun pond slime from being under a few months ... was going to be stripping it down and selling the hull only to recoup paying the diver. It is in Texas and owned now by Tim Martin

Damn, sorry to see that.
I'd honstly think about a different boat and also invest $50 in a 3rd channel remove kill switch.

I was being sarcastic swicher. Your hull is alot of work to repair. Not a lot of money, just a lot of work. West marine systems makes good fibre glass repair products.

Curious, were you using the radio it comes with?
Not worth saving that hull its trashed, apache1 is right a lot of work and time to repair, not worth it.

That sucks dude! I was surprised it never came with one of their own fail safes. I was very sceptical of the quality of the radio when I first got my hands on it so I stuck it in my HPI Savage and it went nuts. Luckily I caught it before it had a chance to get destroyed. But what a terrible feeling that is when you lose all control of your rig just to watch it wreck. The radio is still new in the box but I wouldn't even give it to my worst enemy.
"Finally, an RTR Radio you'll want to keep using!" - Yeah right, no thank you.
I wonder if the warranty will cover your destroyed boat due to radio failure???

I suggest a different boat maker and get one without a radio so you can install a futaba FASST system and a killer bee remove kill switch for channel 3.
I still to this day praise warehouse hobbies as all the WHH boats I have owned have been rock solid with quality reliability and if your looking to get a whole new boat for under $800 with futaba 2.4, check the Super Gator out

I'd have to agree with spoolinaww. You can get a nice boat for about 7-800 from WHH and you can always find one for sale on the dock for about that price. I picked up an insane gen2 from there with everything minus motor and pipe for 400 shipped, the dropped another 400 on the dock for a nice motor and ended up with a 70MPH hydro. Look around, you'll find something.

Thanks everybody for your input. I think I'm going to try to fix it. I really like that it's a cat and it's scale looks, and although it's not the best handling boat, I have lots of fun with it. Here is an on board video of the last run before the runaway. The ending is funny, I roll it.

Did you check to see if they would replace it for you due to the malfunction??? You would get a new replacement in exchange for the damaged one. I would check into it!

After I read your post, and some other guys, I yanked the radio out of mine, and ordered the new Futaba 3pkmx FASST. cant wait to get back on the water.!

tc4 drft,
The boat was 100% stock. I had my best run that day of 40.0mph according to the GPS. I think the video makes it look faster than it really is.
