A savage will blow anything out of the water for bashing. It wouldnt be good for serious racing, but if you are mostly bashing and just racing your buddies every now and then the Savage is the best choice IMO.

I agree. I own a revo but I do more bashing than racing. My friend runs a Savage and it's more durable. If you do look into the savage, look at the 4.6 engine. The 5.9 isn't as reliable and can be a lot more finicky.

Have you considered electric? An E-Revo or Savage flux would both be fast, solid choices for bashing. The E-revo would be a better reliability choice than the nitro for the bashing and is very fast out the box for racing. Plus you dont have to deal with constantly tweaking the nitro engine.

Just some thoughts.....

For a mix of bashing and racing, I'd get a Revo, or a modified T-Maxx, but if you would be more into bashing, I'd say a Savage 4.6.  I have a T-Maxx, but the only thing stock on it is the arms, it's mostly all UE / Dace so it is a very strong and capable truck.

i would go with a Revo over the T-Maxx and Savage. the Revo is more all around truck. i am pretty sure it is lighter than the savage for racing and it has a lower COG for cornering.  i have a revo 3.3 and even at the high ride height setting i still doesnt want to flip that easily on road. it handles really nice when cornering.

I think you should get whichever one you like most. They are all great trucks, and it just comes down to which one you like and which one you will have the most fun with.-after all, that's all that this is about!

+1 on the revo for racing !!!!
it will spank other monster trucks no prob!!
savage is BY FAR the tuffiest!!!
i drive my t maxx over my savage though just to bash !!!!
oh ya and if you want the best of both worlds ,look into a truggy
as it is a hybrid of monster and buggy! they will out handle, they will be more durable, and they will be more money !!!!ha ha
cant win em all!!!!!!!!!!
