Default time to fix the wrong with my stock jato

This what I am starting with. Gotta get this junk plastic off the front end. Steering is already getting loose after one week of mild asphalt bashing nothing to hard!! I'll finish ordering the rear end r.p.m parts next week and then the trans then the stock Jato 3.3 engine might come out not sure yet. I have the money but should I go that far. Screw the warranty!

edit edit damn I forgot something. Three next day shipping what a waist of money that could have been a motor!

This should be a nice front end fix or at least a start. Wow it's fast but what junk parts! So I guess I have to drop in some more cash to make it reliable.

Toys Toys Toys.

What have you upgraded on your Jato?

Default RE: time to fix the wrong with my stock jato

I have RPM front A-arms and that's about it, minus a couple of mods. Everything else is stock. My steering, too, is really loose, like I can wiggle it back and forth a lot, but it goes straight when I'm running it so I'm not too concerned with it at the moment. One of these days I need to pick up an RPM front bumper..it's only a matter of time until I hit the neighbors mailbox again

Cool. Don't get me wrong, i'm not a rich guy! I bought the car on debit and now the mods are going on credit. I think I am done so far. I do want to put rpm control arms on the back in a couple of weeks though and I think that should make me happy. I'm about to take it to the track so I want to toughen it up a bit. Mine has minor play in the steering with all the stock parts but it to still goes straight. So i am not worried about it for everyday racing or playing by myself but I am a little concerned I'll bash at the track and break something. I won't take it to the track until I get the front end done.

Nothing is really loose in my front end, if you wiggle one tire all the linkage in the bell crank moves with it along with the other tire but the right one has some play, the bell crank arm on that side which is plastic seems to be a little week. The arm actually flexes with it. I see that as a future snap.

It's cool stock but I'd rather try to avoid a let down in front of a bunch of people.
