Bow Wow Woof Woof - Who's Going to the DOGS?
This is the last BIG event of the year for me and one of my favorites. I know a lot of jet guys are going but I'm getting pumped already.
Looks like the DOGS web page has expired so I'm looking for any new info and how much of the show will be fast movers.
So, who's going? I'll be in Dayton Thursday night and flying Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Mark, I know there will be a bunch of jet guys there thats for sure. Im looking forward to it. Test flying the F4 this weekend with a new Wren 160....c-ya there!

I wrote to Jeff and here are the answers he supplied about the event.
1. Will the event be Turbine Jet Friendly? I was there two years ago and there was plenty of Jet flying; however, I think there was some sort of conflict and many of the big 3-D type aircraft did not show up.
A -Yes there will be lots of jets this year, New runway 125 X 7500 all new.
2. Will the 3-D demo flights be segregated from the rest of the flying?
A - Three D guys will have there own time slot in the noon show.
3. Will flying be allowed on Thursday?
A - Thursday is set up day but we will start flying around noon.
4. Will there be any sort of security for the aircraft at night or do we have to pack everything up?
A - There is no security on site for your models.
5. How late can we stay on field before having to exit to go to our hotel? i.e. what are the normal pilot entrance gate hours?
A - You can stay on site till midnight before the gates are locked.
6. What days will have the noon time show?
A - The main noon time show is Saturday, It is a smaller noon show on Sun, no real time for Fri.

Rich, I didn't think there was any conflict last year but a couple of the 3D "stars" had to leave early so didn't make the Sunday show. They did put on a hell of a show Saturday though. The sky is big in Dayton and it seems all types get along pretty well even during the open flying.

I didn’t think I would be able to make it at all due to family obligations in NE Ohio that weekend but it looks like I’ll be able to get back home late Saturday night.
I plan to attend the D.O.G.S. event on Sunday now!!! Looking forward to it.

I will be there around noon Thursday. Good news for this year...Everything is free. Pilot fees, Imac Theater, Prizes, and General Admission are all free this year. With good weather, expect 15,000 spectators this year. They really love jets, and we will certainly have plenty of time to fly. Dom may even get in 50 (LOL)

The new runway is Loooooooooooooooooong, and Smooooooooooooooth as glass. Should make for a very goodweekend. If you like large enthusiastic crowds(they really love jets)...then this is a must attend. See you guys there.

Guys -
Had it all worked out to be able to be back in town to fly at the D.O.G.S. show on Sunday that was until my Dad was admitted into the hospital yesterday for a blood clot found in his lungs following a CT scan. He’s doing fine and will be released tomorrow but given all this I’ve decided to spend the whole weekend with family.
Hope to see you at Route66 Jets or OC Jet Rally in October.
Have fun this weekend! I really want to fly off that runway someday.

Goose is there Thurs morning sometime, camper and all, with the Kingkitty and the Nano. Alas the Flash is in the hangar...had to rob the motor for a friend...

I hate to mention this however it looks like the only thing going to the DOGS is the weather![:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]
It looks like it will be good kite flying weather for Friday and Saturday

I cancelled my hotel reservations. I have been watching the weather all week and am disappointed that I can't fly my Phantom at this awesome site[&o]
Traveling is just so costly in terms of time, gas and hotel that I cant take the risk on the weather.
