Is it possible??! Stinger Drive with Homelite Engine
I have a homelite I am trying to use with a stinger drive that is meant to use rounded flex with welded shaft.
Is there a way to make this work with my homelite?

You can get welded shafts with square ends to fit the homies,you may need to have one made to the correct length but im sure whhobies do them to order.Or you can remove the clutch and buy a collet with the correct threads to fit the output shaft and your good to go.I used a cmb.90 collet on a weedy engine after removing the clutch,worked fine.

I figured you might have an idea, everyone has been telling me there isn't a way.
Where did you get the collet from?
I contacted tony to see what he could do for me I'm sure I'll hear back from him soon but I figured there was a collet drive and someone said there was but wasn't sure if it was made anymore

The collet i used maybe wont work on the homie im not sure,depends what thread it has,i think the cmb.90 one i used had m8 thread.

his homie has 3/8-24 threads that end about 2" in front of the flywheel so either the threads need to be reamed further down the crank and tap a standard weedie collet for the larger threads or the crankshaft needs to be changed.

Istill think there is a way to use a brass sleeve, couple people seem to be using this instead of a ferrule.
