Maybe if you check where the slop is coming from the required fix will be obvious?

I'd check the servo saver. Some of them cause the wheels to wobble.
After that check each piece connected from the servo saver to the wheels.
This isn't for a jato but general(dun own a jato):
I've had slop in steering due to the servo saver, once due to a plastic arm connected to a servo saver was flexing, on one the piece the arm off the servo saver is connected to was flexing etc.

I've also seen some cheaper standard servos cause alot of play. The plastic on the outdrive gear wears around the place it rides in the bushing. This happens in the ones that get alot of road time.

That's definetily a posibility, cause i'm not sure how old they are,i'm sure they are the factory Traxxas. When i bought it,it was the crystle reciever set up(am) digital proportional, not the 2.4 system,i think it might be around 2008.So if they have just over 3yrs,that could very well be what it is.I'm gonna take it all apart, just havent goton to it yet.Thanks.
