Covering as in???
What do you mean? final covering? coveirng for strength? sheeting?
What type of plane is it, it's intended purpose? etc..

Is this a secret project? You sure don't seem to want to give out any info.
If it's a park flyer, just paint it with water based paint. If it's a scale model, sheet everything, then fiberglass it. If it's a combat model, cover it with packing tape.....
I can go on, but I doubt this is helping much. How about some more info now?

What i want to cover is a foam chipmunk that will be powered by a 15 glow engine .I want to cover for cometic reasons and to fuel proof the foam. can i use silk with epoxy or will that melt the foam.

It seems you are reluctant to give too much away, so I will answer your specific question.
Epoxy will not melt the foam.
