Coleman fuel for cleaning
I had some Coleman fuel left over from the summer, so on a whim I decided to wipe down my planes with it. Came out squeaky clean with almost no haze. Used an old towel for the wiping.
THEN I saw some oil spots on the rug leading into the house. Well, the stuff smells like dry cleaning fluid, so I put some on a clean piece of towel, rubbed the spots and they disappeared (at least the newer ones did). LOTs easier than using the spot cleaners and vaccuming it up.

RE: Coleman fuel for cleaning
Colman fuel is unleaded gasoline and the vapors are EXPLOSIVE! Don't ever use it in the house and if you use it outside keep any flame or ignition source at least 25 feet away. It is, of course, an excellent solvent but it's not worth the risk.

RE: Coleman fuel for cleaning
Coleman fuel is Naptha, common lighter/cleaning fluid. With proper care it's very useful as a cleaner/solvent. Good for simultaneous charcoal lighter/eye brow trimmer too
