It depends what you want to do and what your LHS stocks parts for... Are you looking for RTR or do you want to build and upgrade??? The N4Tec is going to be a lot faster out of the box and can be made to handle very well... I don't have an RS4 so I can't really comment on it but I don't see too many of them around... The Traxxas is pretty easy to maintain, it is my back up car to my Nitro TC3... I'd really reccomend saving up your pennies and investing in a good computerized radio before you decide to go to the world of high speed on road... At high speeds the slightest wheel movement is going to cost you a lot of money... ABS is also a great feature to stop the car straight and without flat spotting your tires... I'm using a 3PK in all my cars and I tend to turn the servo speed and exponential down on my nitro's... Dual rate is great but you're only affecting your lock to lock position, not speed and sensitivity... You also have to consider tires... The tires that come with any RTR car are worthless... Foams are the way to go on a nitro car but you are going to wear them down extremely quick... I don't even bother truing my foams down on my Nitro, as it is I'll wear out a set in a day... But I do glue the heck out of the sidewalls to try and reduce any chunking...

Have you considered an electric TC??? You can run rubber and break less parts...

I own a 4tec. Most of my opinions agree with the above. Except, 4tecs are composed of a lot of parts in a little space and they can get incredibly dirty. [:@]They were not designed with fast cleaning in mind and you will find yourself dissasembling it with care and time if you get one. Just me

i say go with the rs4... alot of LHS carry more support for it... and with $10 it will go faster than a 4tech

mine has the stock t-15 now and upgraded gears ($10 total) and with k-band radar was clocked at 65 and with the venom speedo between 63-67...
