ZDZ 160 HELP!!!!!
I have a ZDZ 160 (not the champion) that just WILL NOT run right. Bought the engine used from an RCU Member and it looks like new. Mounted it on my test stand and flipped for about an hour with only a short run 1-2 seconds with the choke on. Spit fuel out the carb like there was no tomorrow. Good spark, pleanty of fuel and good compression.
Took the carb off, disassembled it but could not find any problems. Looked at the rotary valve and it appears to be positioned such that it opens as the pistons are just past top dead center.
Called RCShowcase and they said to position the leading edge of the rotary valve in line with the crank pin. There is no combination of orientations that can position it in this location. I guessed and positioned it such that it begins to open as the pistons just pass bottom dead center. Now the engine runs, but not well. Loads up, very un-responsive to needle adjustment.
WHAT CAN I TRY NEXT?????
I am hoping someone has a suggestion, as I can not reach RCShowcase on the phone and do not want to send the engine back without speaking to someone there first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: ZDZ 160 HELP!!!!!
I think the first position of the rotary valve was correct. Put it back and try again. I have an RCS44B2. It spit gas out the carb like crazy until I got it adjusted and running OK.
