I'm glad I have been reading this thread. After years of hearing outrageous claims regarding the weights of other fliers' planes (low or high), I finally broke down and got a nice set of digital shipping scales that weigh objects up to 130 pounds, within a tolerance of 1/2 ounce. They were expensive, around $100, but they are very nice, have a nice big weighing platform, and a control panel with a large digital readout that can be detatched from the scale up to six feet away. I have this thread to thank for finally pushing me over the edge to order it. Thanks guys.
