Default using seperates what li-po can I use

I am flying (hovering) my v3 using all gws consisting of a ics 50,ics100 S/C's, pg-o3 GYRO,HS-55 servos, 6 ch. rec. powering this with a 8.4 volt 750 mah ni-mh. I like to hover and move around in a little bit of a crosswind it can be a little challenging but its fun. Don't get me wrong it hurts when it drills into the ground, but its still not like chicken floppin a nitro heli. That will will bring you to your knees. BEEN THERE DONE THAT[&o]. My question is I want more flight time, and I don't know much about electric flight I could get 9.6 volt and be ok but I want to know what li-po wont burn up my gear? any links or sugg. thanks!!

You should be able to go up to a 3S-2p 1500 Li-poly pack with little change in weight and double the flight times. The voltage will be in the range of 10.5 to 11.1 volts max throttle. If it works like it has for me in my planes, with the increased voltage, performance increases such that I fly at much lower throttle settings, and therefore voltages in the range of maximum on the lower voltage packs.

Of course you have to also get a charger that can handle Li=Poly packs and learn the pratfalls and pitfalls involved in using them.

All of the equipment you list will be happy on 3 cell LiPos. I do not know what tail motor you are using. If it is the tiny n20 motor, it will not last long at all on that higher voltage and that low frequency tail ESC. A high frequency tail ESC like the Schulze or TREC will mostly remove this problem. But if I were to shell out the bucks for a new controller, I would get a CC P10 and a brushless motor, either a Fiego or a CD-Rom motor.
