I had that problem in the beginning with Pactra. Then I remembered what I learned in my old model kit days...try starting the spray a few inches from canopy and follow thru in a nice, even stroke. Shake can a little after each pass. It wastes paint but it worked for me...

Thanks for the response. I make the long sweeps that you are talking about, that is why I am so frustrated with it. It seems like garbage is being picked up off the bottom of the can. Maybe I just got two bad cans in a row. Ya never know!

After reading my post I realized I did not make myself clear on the stroke part, so here's a little more detail. Start spraying from left to right. Start spraying when you are at least 2" from the left side, moving towards the right, and follow thru with one long, steady stroke. Keep can at least 6" away from canopy as you spray.
Of course, I'm no professional...and you are probably doing it that way...just wanted to clear it up...

The globby paint you're getting is likely because the paint in the can is old and clumped, or there's something wrong with the nozzle. If you bought both cans of bad paint at the same place, they may have been on the shelf a long time. Try another source. I've had the same problem with some old, but unused cans of Pactra Formula U I bought on e-bay. The clumps seem to form in the siphon tube where shaking doesn't affect it, 'cause when I removed the nozzle and used a wire to trip the valve at high volume for a few seconds, the clumps were blown clear and the remainder of the paint in the can was fine.

Tychoc, yeah sorry, what I meant to ask is where I can find a list of all their transparent colors. I see tower has 3 I am interested in yellow. Thanks.

The rit dye works great but the only problem i had was when it came time to clean the plane. I had a mixture of alcohol and windex and i noticed it took off some off some of the dye. It still looks fine because it is dyed from inside to. I got mine just dark enough that i could still see my voltwatch inside. It looks like a factory tint job, no runs cracking or clouding. I would do it again.
