DA 100 and prince 27x10 prop ?
I was wondering if anybody knew what RPM i should expect out of a DA 100 with a prince 27x10 prop?? I'am not sure this is the best prop for this engine. I flew a comp arf 2.6 extra with this set up yesterday and was just not very impressed. Up lines were not what i expected.
I also got a 27x10 fuchs prop with this setup but have no idea about this prop , i have never heard of these prop's any thoughts on them ?
Also what prop do you all think is the best for a DA 100 for 3D type flying. I was told the airplane wieghted in @ 26lbs. I would think the 100 would be plenty of power for this wieght ???

I don't know what my rpm was, but I have had two Fuchs 27 x 10 props on my DA100 and thought they were incredible props. they also cost something like $105. But they pull very strongly is way the 27x10 is genenerally recommended vice a 28". maybe someone else with a little more knowledge and flying skill will comment.

Coony, I ran a prince 27x10 on my DA for some time, I was around 6300 on that prop, and would just barely rip in the air (was on a big heavy AW Katana). These are not sequence prop, made for high alpha 3D. They run out of steam quick going up hill for imac type maneuvers. The fuchs are very good props, give that one a try, should work well. On the DA 100, props hard to beat are menz 27x10s if you can find one, or mejzlik 27/10 or 28/10. The air wild NX Pro (dark wood) work very well too.

Not familiar with the Prince or Fuchs propellers.
I have a DA 100 with compact mufflers in a 2.6 Comp-Arf Extra running a Mejzlik 27 x 10. I have 1 gallon through it so far on mineral oil, 6400rpm at sea level.

kiwi, the prince props are made here in the us, really funny looking and have the tips that curve back. The fuchs are made in Germany, and pretty much designed for the 3Ws, but work well on everything else, but are the loudest carbon prop (besides a bolly carbon) when you rip it, but excellent imac props.

Thanks for the input guys , I have only flown the plane one time since i purchased it. I'am going to put a tach on the engine and make sure it is tuned properly before flying it agian.
