RE: New 3speed vs stock drive shaft
Im replacing the stockers with Hot Bodies mt cvd's, heres a couple of comparison pics. the HBs are nice, Ive been running their cvds as a replacement for the stock HD dogbones after I twisted one back in the spring, so far they are holding up great.

Greenghost, I recently went to upgrade the SS heavy duty dogbones for the MIP cvds' but balked at the price. I went for the HPI center driveshaft upgrades but am stuck on which diff to wheel cvds' to get. Would you say the Hotbodies ones are a decent alternative to MIP?

also, if you do run any cvd's use red loctite on the set screws, not blue.

RE: New 3speed vs stock drive shaft
Any of you guys know where to find a cvd to drive a Truckzilla sport center rear Im open to any suggestions. If I lived close to a good hobby shop I would take my ruler and find one if it exists :P. The over all length is 125mm or because I have a new set of MIP couplers I just need a shaft that measures 110mm to the pin.
Any help would be appr3ciated

What were you doing when it let go? I've had my 3spd for a week now and I haven't had any issues at all and I've had the hammer down every time I've brought it out.

just running it easy, well kinda easy....Mine must run better than yours.
the 4.6 wasnt exactly a stock set up engine either., but anyways it was the rear center stock one that came with my SS kit.
also I have twisted a rear left or right cant recall what side dog bone too, a wile back this is an old thread... it was the stock HD chrome ones.

I still have the stock HD bones on the front and the chrome is peeling off at the necks and they are starting to twist, Ill have to pick up a set of the black ones for a try.
