Default Falkon VS C&H Ignitions

I've always heard that the C&H ignition sytem is the best on the market. I've noticed that the ZDZ line of engines use the Falkon system. Has anyone had any experiences good or bad with the Falkon system? I want to get the ZDZ 50 but if I'm going to have to change ignitions systems, then I would just as well go with the BME 50 or the DA 50 and pay the same amount. Waiting for your comments.

DA uses their own ignition, made in the land of OZ....Very good...

C&H (Bill Carpenter) best on the market ? There is no single best.. Best KNOWN, yes, but I kinda like mine too..(RC Ignition).
And Al Diem likes his (Silent Spark)
And Ridge Machine likes theirs (reworked Reichmuth)
And Duarte likes his (Pro Spark)
ETC........

Default Falkon Ignition

ON the ZDZ the Falkons have been well-proven, and customized internally via their programming for the various displacement ranges and curves of advance that's designed in.

Some of the earlier ZDZ's came with Vlach ignitions, which seemed to be somewhat less-durable, and were prone to over-voltage failures from the ignition battery! Or failure through an open ground on the plug side. Not good. Evidently, they have those things corrected, because they are in use on the MVVS gassers (I had one, worked just fine) and are doing okay.

The Falkon that will come with the ZDZ does not need to be replaced, unless it fails, and the warranty is very good.

The manufacturer of any ignition system thinks theirs is very good, and most of them are right

The Falkon ignition on my ZDZ-80 has been working reliably for 45 gallons of fuel. My opinion is that the Falkon is as good as any of them on the market. I'm comparing to the DA, 3W, and CH ignition.

Default Falcon Ign.`

Yes you can buy a falcon ignition from RCS, you need to order a plastic sensor mount separate and figure out how to mount it for a particular application. Also, the Falcon unit operates with the south end of the magnet outward. It is $85+ shipping...Lenny

You may have to dig or some of the experts on this system can definately tell you if this is true, but some systems are advanced and auto retard and other systems are retarded () and will auto advance.

Lenny,
How did you get the price from RCS? Tried emailing once but no response. Emailed again today, we'll see. Did you buy one from RCS?

Pick up the phone if you want a quick answer.
With all the useless e-mail spam, do you check them all out promptly?

Actually I have 2 computers on line at all times. I check all emails as they come in. Being a vendor of casino equipment, I stay on top of my customers needs so that the competition does not get them first! As far as SPAM....GONE! I delete it right away. For all other emails, I read and respond usually with in one to two hours unless I'm sleeping (1am to 7am). Do I expect everyone to be like me? No. But the email is free, the phone call is not. The email can be answered when time permits although I emailed about a week ago. I'm not trying to make anybody look bad, just trying to find out how Lenny got his info and if he bought one that's all. I'm in the market and looking for a good "Value".
