80% of all newbies start there build with a Tamiya TLT-1 & from this you can build the truck. Get an understanding for what you want to do. Then buy or build a chassis that suites your wants. I am building my tranny with an associated stealth transmission. Either way for the money you buy the tlt, and you will get axles, sway bar links amongst the main components . Do a search on a tlt build through these forums. You will want to go with an integy motor or two, use 55-65 turn to power your beast, these are powerfull motors for laithes. Good luck![>:][8D]

RE: NEED HELP PLEASE!!! IM LOST!!
when your taling about the 55-65 turn motors, what does the turns mean, is it that the more turns the higher rpm's and lower torque or the highter turn means higher torque and lower rpms?

ORIGINAL: Acs_guitars
Higher turn = More Torque
Higher turn = More Torque
Actual, all electric motors make about the same torque,
They make it at very low RPMs.
We use the 55-60-65 turn motors not to gain more torque, but rather not to lose the torque we have available.
As an electric motor spools up and gains RPMs, the torque it produces declines.
The trick is to find a happy medium, torque and wheel speed.
This is were not only the number of turns comes into play, but the gearing, voltage and amperage are also key elements.
