Default Revo 3.3 won't start when warmed up

Ok, got a revo 3.3 that runs great. Lot's of power and no problems. Except, after the engine is warmed up (half a tank into a run) if the engine dies due to a crash or just running out of gas, it will not start until it cools down. The engine is tuned right, passes the pinch test, and runs at 230 degress. I tested for air leaks and found nothing. The engine has only had a 2 gallons of fuel ran through it. Any ideas?

Maybe it's a flame out? Or the glow plug is crappy, or it's not getting good juice when starting.

Glow plug is brand new, sorry should have mentioned that. Changed it first when this started happening.

Those symptoms are usually one of two things.
Either a poor tune or a loss of compression.
I had an engine once that flipped, knocked off the air filter and ate a piece of trash, scratched the sleeve and would do exactly as you're describing. That engine had less than a gallon through it. It might be worth checking out. You can pull off the coling head and check the cylinder w/o pulling the engine out.

Try to lean the engine out a little as a test to see if that helps the restart issue. You sound like you know what you're doing but remember not to let the temp go over 280f.

make sure the glow plug isnt loose it looses compression when its loose and has a hard time strting back up. if it is to tight teh ezstart wont turn over the engine

A flame out can happen to a nitro engine, not just a 3.3.

It sounds like vaporlock but it only happens with aluminum carburetor. Since the 3.3 engine comes with composite carburetor, it shouldn't be the case. I will suggest you rich the high speed needle a little bit.

All my TRX engines do that, it's a pain in the ass.

this may sound stupid but also make sure you have a crush washer on the glow plug, and that there isent any dirt stuck between the cooling head on the block.

I've still seen it happen on composite carbs. There are many good tips in here. I would lean it first, if it's running 230f. then it may be just a little too rich.
