I would like to know if anyone can help me to understand the difference in radios??? I probably will be getting the Losi eight. I know that it comes RTR with the spectrum2.0. It seems like a good radio. They also make a 3.o version. What is the difference between 2 channel and three channel. Also does a radio really help that much with racing??? Also how do servos come into play with radios? i really am a novice when it comes to this subject. My plan for my losi truck is to have fun at the track and maybe eventually move into racing???? Also does anyone know if the stock Losi RTR radio has both forward and reverse ??? Thanks for all your help

A third channel is handy for putting a personal transponder on if you're racing, but in the start you will probably use club transponders, which don't need a third channel. A 2ch radio will be fine for you, until you decide you want to start racing very seriously. You will then buy a better 3ch radio anyway.
What do you mean 'how do servos come into play with radios?'
Nitro cars do not have reverse. Only certain monster trucks and it's usually a hop up option.

NO I saw that radios often come with servos. I do not understand if servos and radios like package together? I never knew about the reverse thing so I guess you must drive forward really good. Okay Why different channels?? And what is a transponder for??? When I was in the hobby ten years ago a cheesey plastic Futba is all I had. These new digital ones are all the craze so again why 2-3 channels, sorry again I really don't understand 2.4 and the difference technical. Thanks
