modded zen 231.
hi guys. i run a mild mod zen 261 what really run well. i am curios should i put on a 231 top end with the same mods as my 261 what motor will perform the best? how much difference is there in torque between these 2 moded motors?
should i fit my sikk stuffed crank to my zen with the necessary mods what will i gain by doing that?
i am still learning and any help will be appreciated.
john

RE: modded zen 231.
for a small race mono like yours it will do better with more rpm and less torque, a 231 is exactly that.. more rpm and less torque than a 260, im not sure how much difference there is though, probably not a whole lot
im not sure about a sikk crank, i probably wouldn't bother

RE: modded zen 231.
In Gas monos .... 231's are the bomb !!
In my race mono running a 260 use the 7016/3 .... using the preferred 231 a 6516/3 and it is FASTER
Don't use the stuffer crank on a 231, tried in vain and found some torque running stock intake timing, but with the stock crank you can run more duration and intake track area further adding more top end rpm
