Looking for paddle tires for savage x 4.6
Iam new here and i did do a search and couldn't find any answers that i wanted so i am posting this to get your advice one what paddle rims/paddle tires i should be looking at getting for my savage x 4.6. Iam planning on playing in the sand a lot with this truck and want something to help me in having fun with the sand. Iwould prefer cheaper (price)but something that won't wear out in a few hours/days of running them in the sand. Thank you in advanced for you help and you will be seeing more of me here i think.

You are going to have a lot of fun with your truck in the sand. I run the ProLine paddles with ProLine Velocity offset wheels. I'd suggest offset wheels (regardless of brand you choose) to give your truck some more stability. And not that you asked but I'd also suggest an Outerwears pre-filter for the airfilter.

Here is a video of that setup if you are curious to see it, but I did not put the paddles on until the middle of the video:

i was just wondering, if it was an easy switch and if it would break anything because it would be fun to play around in 2WD in the sand

Nothing special you need to do. The quickest way is to remove the left and right dogbones which only takes a few minutes. That works fine but the front differential is still spinning. I have also taken out the whole front diff; doing that removes the drag from having to turn the diff and it also decreases the weight in the front of your truck which helps with wheelies, etc. I put some duct tape over the diff outdrive holes to prevent sand from going in the diff housing (you don't want to get sand on the pinion etc). And if you really want to reduce drivetrain drag you can take out the front center dogbone, drive cup on the front of the tranny and pinion. But if you just want a quick swap to 2wd in the field removing the left and right dogbone is the way to go. That's what is good with a Savage, you can easily run it either way.
Running 2wd does not cause undue stress on the engine; in fact it is quite the opposite. Running 2wd reduces the load on the engine.
Here is a video of another 2wd Savage doing donuts in the sand. This is RCnitrohead's truck with an LRP 30 engine:
