Looking for Toy Grade/Hobby Grade car for present
I don't really know what I'm looking for but I'd like to start looking for an xmas present. I'd like to stay around the $75 mark so I know that doesn't really put me at hobby grade. I remember buying a mercedes car from radio shack that said AMG and Vodafone on it for like $40 and it was fine to just play around with. That was probably 8 years ago. I'm looking for something similar for my son for xmas.
I'd like a fairly large car like a 1/6 or so and he'd like the style I described above. What kind of actual MPH can I expect to find? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Or ask the mod to move this thread to the toy-grade section.

The Toy section is deserted; don't post there. Anything that is rated A or higher on this site should be nice; http://rcmania.com/

I had the New Bright Yukon. It was 5th scale. Costs around $80 and probably runs 5-7 mph. Enormous truck. Held up very well for a toy.. my son used it for about two years, then I passed it on to my nephew. It would run about 15 minutes on a charge "even in the grass" and extra battery packs were about $18. The neighbors also had smaller New Bright models that also held up good that were priced around $50 - $60. For a toy I'd say it's a good value for what you get.
