i have never done this as the car i bought was a RTR but somehow the linkages have gone funny. my carb is open too much at idle and as soon as i start it the car revs really high and the wheels start spinning, as soon as i hit the brakes the carb fully closes and the engine cuts out. am i right by saying i need to disconnect the throttle linkage from the carb then set the carb closed, then get the 1-2mm opening by using the idle screw. then refit the throttle rod and reset the springs and locking collars, am i on the right path. Please avise if i am wrong
I have a Sinyih RS200. Protech VX18 Pullstart Engine

Most likely you have a cheap RTR Radio without ATV, so you'll want to set the Full throttle position first
Disconnect all linkages, and set you throttle stop screw to desired position.(this can be done first, last, or in the middle)
Then
1-Set any ATV knobs to center
2-Pull Full Throttle, Set Full throttle linkage posittion
3-Push full brake, Make sure you have enough remaining spring load not to bind the servo to much
4-Let trigger come back to neutral position and adjust brake linkage to you liking
5-drive car, break car, fix car, drive car again, etc, etc,
Do it in this order and you'll be good. The thing to be carefull with these cheap radios is the little atv knobs get bumped easy, make sure the atv knob is in the right spot when you start the car and you'll be fine

No those are trim taps, they set the start point or neutral position.
ATV=adjustable travel volume,
Basically it how far the servo turns from one way to the other
your radio might not have this feature
What is the Model number?
if it's this one you don't have ATV
