Default O.S. FT-300 Question

I have an O.S. FT-300. In breaking it in, one cylinder consistently stops firing (the right side). I have replaced the glow plug. It seems to happen at any speed. I am using new 10% fuel. This occurs even with both glow plugs lit from a battery. Any troubleshooting suggestions ?

Thanks,

TRG

Default RE: O.S. FT-300 Question

I ve got two of the 240 twin myself, one always stopped for no apparent reason from new, I stripped it down and found the timing out by one tooth. Re timed and it now runs fine. I use on board glow for both with the glow coming on from idle to half throttle as without it they tend to stop. I also run 10% nitro in mine. They are a great engine and sound fantastic. Just ordered a slimline smoker exhaust for my Pitts, should be great.
