Question on setting up two engines
Hello I have a twin engine airplane, with a servo for each engine. I am trying to mix the two servos together. I have a Futaba 7uap. I can kinda get it to work, but the trim for the throttle only works for the master channel, and not the slave. I am really clueless. If anyone has this radio on their twin please help me!! Thanks.

RE: Question on setting up two engines
[b]Cap:
I have a 7UAF which, except for having been supplied with a PPM rx instead of the PCM unit, is supposed to be the same as yours.
Using channel 3, throttle, as master to channel six for the second engine, I can use the channel six knob to sync the engines, or take them out of sync at any time. When I have the two channels tracking the channel three trim also changes the channel six position. In other words, for me the throttle trim works on both channels. I don't know if it would also trim channel seven, but I would think six and seven would work the same.
Bill.

RE: Question on setting up two engines
[b]Ed:
No argument. The matchbox works great, and Futaba does make an equivalent to the JR unit now.
I have one twin that I used the EMS/Jomar engine sync unit on, when I first used it I was sold. But later, I decided it really wasn't needed. While it kept the engines within 5-10 rpm of each other, synchronization just isn't that important.
Mostly, I just use the linkage adjustments to get the engines right.
