I am thinking of buying a Dave Patrick Ultimate 40 size. I know it is a great flyer, but wonder if anyone is flying one with an O.S. 46FX. Is it enough? I hate to have to buy a YS 63 to get any performance. Would appreciate your input.

I put an os50sx with a pitts style muffler in mine. I also use the apc-12.25X3.75 prop, and the plane flies great. I am in new mexico at an elevation of 4500 ft.The plane drops like a rock on slow landings so you need to keep the throttle a little above idle.I also had to add alot of foam in and around the fuel tank because the fuselage seemed to act like an sound amplifier and it was really loud. the foam helped quiet every thing down. All in all though this is a great plane.
