Help with Running SAVAGE 25
Many times when I don't use my SAVAGE 25 for a couple of weeks, after i start it and let it run for a while the idle speed get real fast and after that i can't control the speed. Normally it just stits there but after about five minutes it revs up and stays high until i kill it. Is it my low needle? I have been messing with it but can't figure it out. A little help please

RE: Help with Running SAVAGE 25
I just started my Savage 25 again and the problem continues. Also the engine got very hot very quick. I am think that this may be a problem as well. Once i press the gas it goes 10feet then kills. I started it about 10 times and each time it started to run high. Anyone with info on how to fix would greatly appreciated

Go back to factory settings and start tuning all over. Tuning can changer from day to day. If this does not fix it I say you either have an air leak on the engine or in the fuel system. All so try a new glow plug.

RE: Help with Running SAVAGE 25
I went back and replaced the fuel lines and the glow plug. I then set the needles back to factory settings and then tried to start the truck. It wouldn't start until I turned the low needle a couple extra turns. After I got the truck started it continued to do the same thing. I checked to see what the gas looked like coming out of the exhaust and found that it was a yellowish green slime. It was the blue color that it normally is. I think that this is the problem, and I don't know the solution. Any help would be great.

It sounds like it may be loading up from letting it idle. see if blipping the throttle constantly wile your warming her up helps any.

You can warm up by running. I have the same problem as you (if I throttle it quick then it cuts out in about 10 feet). I have to gradually increase throttle until I get to about half and then it will never cut out again in that run. Try that instead of letting it idle for so long.
