RE: Savage Alloy
I would suggest to stay away from alloy aswell, unless it is for show. Otherwise I say check out RPM's stuff. It is stronger then stock and you can get things in purple. here is a link to the site.

RE: Savage Alloy
Just a little suggestion, most people (including myself) when they get their first savage want to put as much purple as possible on their truck for some reason but allways change our minds later on. There are other colors available, now i try to get rid of the purple as much as possible. Go for blue or a nice combination of silver and black, trust me you'll like it more in the long run. Also make sure you dont put any alloy where its not needed because its just a waste of money.

RE: Savage Alloy
Been through the whole alloy crazy years ago and it is nothing more then a waste of money other then in very limited applications. Nothing like taking a 12-pound Savage and adding more weight. I have had alloy cost me many dollars. But it is your money so go for it. 2 years from now tell us what you think. One other thing makes sure you buy billet and not cast as billet is much stronger but is more expensive.

If you have aluminum stuff it will transmit the force to a plastic bit, breaking that... It might bend aswell, but the first is more likely.

Hmmm, I need to color coordinate.
I've got blue bits here, some stock purple there, three shades of silver spread all about, red, white...

Yeah, I need to get rid of the purple on the stock parts, so they will match the blue stuff I'm putting in. I usually go for black, though.

RE: Savage Alloy
How do you re anodise them. I found a tutorial on removing anodising, but I dont know how to put the stuff back on. I would quite like silver and black, I already have IRC black TVPs, so I'm 1/2 way there.
