MACH 28 AND 3 SPEED GEARING??????????
what would be a good spur/clutchbell combo for this engine I found alot of info for the mach .26 but not the .28 any advice will be taken into consideration. Paid $180 for engine and tranny brand new so too late to change engines need clutch shoes and gearing all I have so far is the stock 15 & 18 tooth bell
Iknow somebody had to have ran this engine along with the 3-speed

RE: MACH 28 AND 3 SPEED GEARING??????????
I ran everything in my old Savage with the Mach 28 and 3 speed..
I found for bashing that a 17/47 was the best, and for speed a 18/49 worked well.

I've seen vids of Savs with Mach 28's and 3-speeds, and man they're freakin' rockets...
You seen the one with another Sav with a Mach 26, then a drag-race against a Revo with an OS or RB or whatever - black bod??

awseome I was afraid I made the wrong choice buying such a cheap motor for a savage. I just was so dissapointed when I ran the .25 it was not the Savage that I read about on theses forums

Sarcasm??
Can't tell - quality on photobucket isn't great...
I have another one saved - just some dudes in a parking lot - but you can really get a feel for how fast it is..
I think in lots of vids you see guys with Savs with huge engines just flipping over a lot, which I guess is kind of impressive. But for me, based on the vids I've seen anyway, the fastest Savs - on pavement - have either Mach 28's with 3-speeds, or Picco 26's.... Has a lot to do with gearing, having the 3-speed set righ, etc... So not saying that those engines are the fastest or anything - just an observation based on the vids I happen to have seen..

heres what i could find in our collection... 17/47 + 3speed cant keep the wheels down. this was with the hpi ribbed pipe.... before he got the CVEC pipe. now the motor is faster then a .32 with 3 speed, and torque is unbearable.
he's driving the truck with the stock body, also with an extra 1lb of onboard camera gear in the front.

RE: MACH 28 AND 3 SPEED GEARING??????????
those vids r sweet!! that mach 28 really cruises too.... if any of you guys wanted a more light wieght on-board camera, go to a cvs store.. its this white looking small video camera for 25- 30 $$, nice quality but if u hit anything, mine frezzes.. also its one time use.. u can delete and review the newest vid that u took but once u take antother one over it, its saved and cannot not be deleted unless u delete all the vids before it.. after u use the 20 min of vid time, u bring it to the cvs place and they turn it into a dvd or somtin.... its pretty nice and mine fits right were the front bumber is between the bumber and the body.. it kinda slides in there just right, only 1 or 2 zip ties neccesary and doesnt show any of the body when its runing..

this was a Samsung sports camera with an external lens. this model is obsolete now... replaced by a more expensive one. video isnt bad and she has definately taken a beating. been on a savage, rc10gt, and an airplane.
