OMP Ultimate 10-300.....I've had an OS .91FX, a Saito 1.25 and currently an Evolution 1.00..........I really like the Evo 1.00, but it's a heavy son of a gun.....

RE: Profile for a Saito 120
I'll second the recommendation for the OMP Ultimate. I have flown the Ultimate with the Saito 100 and I believe the 100 is just about the PERFECT engine for this airplane. I'm not sure how much more the 120 weighs than the 100 but I'm sure it wold work well. Profile bipes definitely aren't the most plentiful slabs out there but those who haven't flown one are really missing out. Not to mention the OMP Ultimate is one AWESOME build!
Good Luck!

Yeah the Ultimate had peaked my interest and is the front runner. Will check the OMP site and get all the info I can. Just started a MOJO 60 build and wouldn't mind following that up with he OMP. Thanks Joe

The 120 is a BUNCH heavier than the 100 and you would play heck getting one to balance with that engine. If you really want a 3d bipe profile stick with the omp 50" ultimate and sell your 120 and buy a 100 or a 125. there a good 1/2 pound or more lighter. The ulti with a 100 on it will come in about 6.25 to 6.5 lbs a great weight for 3d and excellent pullout from hover. If you hang another 1/2 pound on it the wings will start rocking in harriers and land like a terd. Just my considered opinion but I have built and flown one for quite a while
I flew a saito 120 for quite a while on a 65" omp yak. It was about 8 pounds and did pretty well. The new 65" 55 if a little lighter might be just the ticket. The mojo 65 is a possibility but preformance might be a little lackluster because it would likely be about 8.5 lbs with the 120

The new Yak is also a possibility, I believe its the 55 or something like that. All I know is I want it in KIT FORM! I'm sick to death of ARF's where nothing fits right and you have to fight with it to get it air worthy. OMP offers some very nice kits and is at the top of the list for my next purchase. Thanks to all of you that have replied to my post, I appreciate the input. I know some might say the ARF's have improved alot and that may very well be true, but after two heart surgeries and a major stomach surgery I like nothing better than to sit down and putz along on a nice kit, one stick at a time. again, thanks for your input. joe

Any idea on the release date and if they'll allow for prepurchase or at least get onto a waiting list. Tailtwister, any profile events in our neck of the woods scheduled for this summer? Thanks Joe

There will likely be a mini Pro Bro at my field (Appleton) in Summer. Like June, July, or so. I'll attend the Efingham Pro Bro, the first weekend in August as well.
Contact AFSalmon (OMP Chief Designer) and check on when he intends to begin selling them. The proto is built, flown, and will be shown at Toledo.
