Micro RS4 1/18 ?
I was out at the hobby shop this past weekend. I have been out of the loop since I had kids four years ago. My oldest will be four next month and I want to get him into RC cars and trucks. While at the shop I saw the new 1/18th scale Micro RS4. The shop had its own track that they conduct races. They talked about how popular they are. The question I have is what does everyone think? I stopped by another shop this week and they told me they only carry one because they aren’t popular. I’m thinking of getting one, but I don’t want to buy something then find out that I won’t be able to get parts for it, and that I’m only one of a few suckers that bought one. Please tell me what your thoughts are on these scale RC's in yor area.
Thanks

Well I'm a 21 year old college student with one, and very happy with it. Alot of major company makes parts for it. If you check out the fourms at www.yourmicro.com you can see exactly how popular they are. It won best micro size car of the year. If you look at www.hpiracing.com there is a link to the article. It excepts regular size electronics. With the right motor the thing can really move.

It won Car Of The Year. Not best "micro car of the year"
It beat out ALL other cars, 1/8th scale, 1/10th touring, 2wd buggies, 4wd offroad, trucks, electrics, nitro, it beat them all!
I had one and I wont get rid of it for anything! It is a realy, realy neat car drives just like it's full size counterparts- Simple but highly effective chassis and suspension layout. and TONS or aftermarket support.
drop an extra few $ and buy a ball diff front and rear, a bit of alumnium here and there and you can have a realy tricked out car!
L.R.
p.s. look on e-bay for a used one that allready has lots of mods and save a few pennies. in the 110-130.00 range is usualy best (new chassis, alumnium parts, ball diffs.)
