Default REVO SPUR GEAR ?'S

well , my spur geat is shredded. Is there any difference if you go 36T , 38T , OR 40T?

and I guess I should go ahead w/ a steel one right.

i think you should stick with the plastic one because its made to be a sacrificial peace so you dont tear up your whole tranny and have a hugge messsss!

As far as the spur gears go, its the following: 36t=more top end speed
38= stock one (no performance change)
40= more torque

DONT get a steel spur, you will regret it.
Plastic spurs work just fine...

Here is the the difference in spur gear sizes. The smaller tooth size you go in a spur gear the
more top speed/less torque is the result. On the other side of the coin the larger the spur gear
the less speed/more torque you have. It is just the opposite on clutch bells, more tooth count
the more speed/less torque, less tooth count less speed more torque. As far as steel spur gears
go stick with stock plastic composite gears. If you are running a steel spur gear make sure you
are running a hardened clutch bell because a steel spur gear will chew up a stock steel
clutch bell. The stock plastic spur gear gives you a small amount of protection for your drive train
because it has some give and shock load protection where as a steel spur has no give.

NO steel.

stick with plastic...just buy a couple and loosen the slipper. they are like 3 bucks over what...20?
