it looks like you should order parts along with the rtr, they seem hard to come buy at the lhs, and if your getting the 1/10s then thats definitly so
other then that is looks like a bad ass st. 4wd. hpi product. its almost a mini hellfire for under 200 bucks.which is freeking sweet! i would order it as well, but like u i am new (couple months so far) and am in the midst of re-equipping a 2nd hpi firestorm with a broken bulkhead back to stock.
i say go for it, and if it has a pullstart look on tower hobby for a rotostart application. trust me its worth it. if u do purchase this let us know maybe we could square away the right parts for ur noob preperation.

I just bought a Lightning GT10 and got a grat deal on it from ultimate hobbies only 200$ compared to other trucks in its class its a great deal.. if anyone else has gotten 1 let me know.

Yes parts support is not the best as well as there is very little if any after market support and hop ups. The engine is not real strong.

well look... to be honest i have a hb ls 10 and is a preety good and fast enough car.. its also really really strong and to tell you the truth i was making the same decision as you are but between the hb the firestorm and the traxxas rustler but i chose the hb and believe me... its worth it.. also its a 4wd...2.5 motor... and i had never used a firestorm but looks to me that the hb is stronger and preety muchy faster... but hey.. its a really though decision.. cause they both have greaaat stuff that makes one compared to the other so... ask more ppl and go by what u want.!

hey guys.. i have a question cause im really confused with all this motor stuff.... ok the lighitng st 10 says ¨2.5¨motor..thoes that means its like really 2.5 or .15?? because for example i have a friend that has a . 21 motor and he kiks my ***** so plz answer me.. thank you!
