It depends whether you're after power or run-time.

The capacity (mah) will determine runtime, and the voltage (cells) determine power. Maybe you can get a 8 cell 4200.

Just remember to make sure that you ESC can handle the Voltage you are feeding it.

There's no real limit for capacity.

mAh is kinda like your fuel gage in your car. The larger the number(mAh) the larger the gas tank. The ESC doesn't care about the size (mAh) of the batteries, just the voltage.

Ok it goes.
voltage=how much power and speed (more voltage means more powerfull but the motor and esc gets a bit hotter)
mah=like mentioned before more mah means more runtime.

correct but it would go faster with a lower turn motor but make sure it will handle the turns(ex. 19 turn)

No!! dont be sorry[8D] we all have to start somwhere.
Yeh a higher turn motor provides more torque (more for off-road) where as a lower torn motor gives you higher speeds but cuts back on torque.
Im pretty shure the ESC can handle either one of those batterys.

No problem.
If i where you i would screw the nimh battery, and get a Brushless system and a LiPo battery, now that would be unbelivibely fast!!!!!!
