Yea a wing will help as a wheelie bar and also a good head protector. Its not a must but It does help with wheelies and such... Even though it is only the 2.5, its really up to you I guess. I ran without a wing on my 2.5 since aI got it (like 2-3 years now) and never found a reason to get one.

A wing/mount is a great bashing upgrade. It works as a wheeley bar, it protects the cyl head bigtime, as well as the rest or the truck.
Love my wing!![8D]

You can go one step further too. Add a small wheel to each side of the wing (airplane section or traxxas makes a set) They act as casters and prevent grinding down the sides of the wing on concrete.

I always thought the wheels on the wing were stupid[:'(] Why add anymore weight up that high?? It takes quite a while to wear down the wing (unless you are running on the street all the time). Plus wings are cheap, id rather just replace the wing when its nessessary.(not very often).
I (and many others) try to save as much weight as possible, especially that high on the vehicle, so its definetly not for me....

Does the wing ever break or crack. I just ordered a tekno wing mount and the proline high downforce wing.

AiRevo you must be a racer or have a high dollar engine. If you are so concerned about the weight up high, why the wing at all.
It does not add down force on a 1/10th MT. Two bolts & nuts and a couple of nyln flat washer weighs nothing compared to wing mount.
But what ever make you happy!

^^Yea I was thinking the same thing about the backflips...
The whole gain of weight be spread apart. Like if you were to buy the hard anodized pillow balls for the rear and not the front. Or add some lunsford titanium toe-links for your steering linkage. That will spread the weight a little better. I myself am going to do that for my truck after I get back from vacation. ( My truck can't come..[sm=cry_smile.gif]) I'm gonna be racing when I get back also so weight distribution is important for me.
