NO LIFT
I HAVE A NEW G26 MOUNTED IN A HANGAR9 P47 / IT HAS A 16X6 PROP TURNS ABOUT 9300 RPM. I FLY ON GRASS. IT TAKES 3/4 0F THE RUNWAY AND STILL NOT AIRBORNE. WHATS UP/ WILL A G45 PROVIDE ADEQUATE POWER OR GO BIGGER / I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT INSIDE THE COWL

What's the all up weight of the plane? What's the wing area?

RE: NO LIFT
A 16x6 propeller @ 9300 rpm should generate approx. 13 lbs of thrust and a "pitch speed" of 53 mph.
Is your aircraft the 82" Hangar 9 P-47? At the recommended AUW <17 lbs, the wing loading is 33.7 oz/sq.ft., which translates into a take-off speed of approximately 35 mph.
Your choosen prop has too little pitch to provide enough thrust at that speed. Instead try a 16x8 propeller. Engine RPM will be down somewhat, typically you can expect slightly less than 9000 RPM giving a "pitch speed" of approx 65 mph. Because of the higher pitch speed, significantly more thrust will be available at take-off speed compared to the thrust provided by the 16x6 prop.

CHARGER0_6,
What's your total weight fuelled up? My P-47 with a G-38 weighs in at 19lbs even. That's after a glassed and painted it, though. I also fly off grass, but mine takes off within thirty to forty yards. How tall is the grass at your field? With those little stock wheels tall grass could provide additional drag. Go with a graphite Mejz. 17x8 and break in the engine first. Consider one thing also: The G-26 is bottom line in power plants for this airplane. My G-38 is the perfect match.

I have H9 P47 with a G26 and Mejzlik 18X6. Pulls it around without any problems. Can do reverse and regular Cubans and large loops with it. Using an AbellRc muffler which gives a few additional RPMs. RCIgnitions.com converted to electronic ignition for easier starting. Great flying warbird.
