Performance International 74" CAT
Anyone got the cg for a 74" performance international cat? Thinking about 29-30% QDHT25 steel pipe left sponson radio box in the right sponson the boat is heavy. Should be much lighter then with twin zens/pipes shafts etc....

I would be uncertain if the HT 25 will have the bearings to get that big cat moving with speed. I have the 73" PIP with a QD35 and she is working hard to see 50. http://groups.msn.com/JustaddwatasRC...dewaltcat.msnw
I know of a few that have been done with inline zenoahs and they have moved the boat with authority. Cant say I can recall anyone building a boat that big with a QD25 though. You may want to quiz Chris and see if he has any knowledge of if it has been done and how it may go. He should be able to give you tips on weight.

RE: Performance International 74" CAT
I hear what your saying but I was shocked to see this 25qdht push my 60" MTI into the low 60s and my mti is heavy. My QD 35cc only gets this MTI into the low-mid 50s. I am not sure if the work is worth 45mph but I think I will give it a go. Do you still have video of the 35cc pip. I could not get the link to work on your site. Thanks

There is this clip of her doing the roll. Had trouble getting her on pipe the rest of the day (O ring gone in the pipe). I have some other clips somewhere but will have to dig them up - http://imageevent.com/justaddwata/74pipcatclips

Would think twice about the QD25ht in such a big hull.Dont look for any high speeds, expect to be in the 40's(lower).Boat that size needs twins or inline to see over 50mph.

Why would you want to put the motor in the sponson ? Why not the center ?
