Default Transporting Wings - Cheap EFFECTIVE

I hate dinging up my wings. I found a very simple solution.

In my minivan, I stretched 2 bungee cords (the clothe covered ones) across the back from the clothes hanger and drilled 1 hole in each side in the plastic by the sliding doors and strung 2 more bungee cords. Slide the wing between the bungee cords and use clip clothspins (the type with the spring) to hold the bungee cords together. The wings do not shift or get dinged up. They GENTLY float over the bumps cushined by the bungee cords. This setup will carry 2 wings.

This will work for minivans, station wagons, suv, pick-ups with the aluminum/fiberglass bed covers.

Be careful if yo have servo wires hanging off the wing. I used to do this...until the servo connector beat the heck out of the wing as it was flopping around

I now have a trailer, so it's no longer an issue

I built a wooden deck in the back of my pickup to hold the wings and fuselage. This allowed me to put other stuff below the deck portion.

The wings then sat in a padded cradle..no damage so far.

I have a complete write-up on how I assembled this using angle steel, plywood and other common components available at home depot or Lowes.
