I was rebuilding my engine when i was putting the carb back on i realized you can only put a screw in on the right side of the carb. On the other side there is a huge gaping hole where pressure would be lost. I looked at the manual and there is only supposed to be one screw. Is something suppose to take the place of the other hole?

ok, what happens is that the carb main bady (1691) goes through your big gaping hole. then, there is a nut that comes with the main body and screws on to the side of the main body that sticks out the other side.
tell me if you understand this, kinda hard to explain.

no, you dont. that part goes into the engine. look at the picture. there is a nut that goes on the side with the gaping hole (which really isnt a hole because something comes out the other endo of it.

Well I guess we really don't know exactly where his big gaping hole is but if you look even closer that nut is on the carb itself. It holds the the carb valve in the carb. I am assuming the big gaping hole he is talking about is actually on the crankcase. The "2 screws" I'm talking about are the screws that actually hold the carb to the crank case.

yeah its the 2 screw set. i tried utting and identical screw on the other side but it was too short and didnt catch the threads. So i just put some RTV Silicone Sealant in the threads. it doesnt eally matter, im planning to get a new engine anyways.
