i think way too many guys fly stuff they can't afford to crash. like me. i'm still pluggin through college and i'm flying a 2k aircraft thats going to put me out at least 500$ if i crash? thats nuts. i always try to convince myslef that low 3d on the deck isn't worth it, but you know the rest

RE: Ever get a little nervous with first gasser?
I just started flying the larger gas powered planes this year. I have been flying for a total of 21 years. Full scale and rc. I get so excited everytime i fire up my new gas plane, that i have to turn it off and go pee.
I am not trading my gas for glow, i can tell you that much. I have alot of both. flown all the glow i have, only one of the gassers. I havent flown much glow since i started flying gas. There is a lot to be aware of before that first flight though. Ask all the questions you can stand. Then, ask some more. Take all the precautions as they will not hurt. Put lots of batt power everywhere and opto coupling/amplifying is highly recomended. Dont be stingy on servos either. Other than that a plane is a plane is a plane is a truck. Look forward to enjoying it. Progression is compassion and compassion is commitment. Keep smilin!
